2010

It is the time of year to reflect back on the year and remember all things that had happened over the last year.

Last year on New Years Eve I found out I was going to be having a baby all my dreams of becoming a mommy were coming true.  I told my family on my birthday that we were expecting a little baby soon.  I than became one sick mommy.  My body wasn't liking anything that I ate except the tiny little oranges.  That is what I lived off of for the next couple of months.  I had to go in to get fluids pumped into me because I couldn't even drink water.  But in April our lives were uplifted and I didn't care how sick I was all along my pregnancy because I knew my baby was healthy and I made it through the first trimester.  We also found out in April that we were going to be having a baby girl from that point on we debated between two names Lexy and Lily.  In July a month before our daughter came we got the baby bump pictures.  I never knew how much these pictures were going to mean to me.  In August we were ready for our little girl to come we had the
nursery done just for her.  Dragonflies, Butterflies, Ladybugs and Flowers.  We were so excited to meet our little girl Lexy or Lily.  Time sat still until August 23,2010 we met our little girl Lexy De'anna Waite she was so special that Heavenly Father wanted her to be back with Him.  Lexy didn't even get a breath of fresh air which I would of given anything in the world for her to have one.   So since August what have I been doing my daily living.  Getting up in the morning trying to get ready for the day.  September, October, November came and than in December our family got another hit to my mending heart.  My brother lost his baby Ian.  Lexy and Ian are buried right along each other.  I think my little girl really needed to be up there for when our Little Ian had to come to be with Heavenly Father.  So for this year we are a little heartbroken family.  Now let me tell you the joys of my year.

I got to feel my little girl squirm, kick, and have the hiccups.  I got to hear the heartbeat of my little girl.  I got to see her in my womb and those pictures are great to have because I didn't share them to the world on Facebook I kept them for only our families to see.  I got to see how beautiful our daughter is and we got to spend two wonderful days with her.  I have tons of pictures of her that I just love.  Because of her I have started to begin my dream of becoming a photographer.  I always thought it would be something fun to do.  But when the lovely lady named Heather came to the Hospital to take pictures of our little family.  I knew that is what I wanted to do and would love to do.  Family is so important and this would keep joy and remembrance to other families that have lost their little babies.

New Years Resolutions
I’m going to reinvent my photography blog.  I’m going to try to make an assignment for each day of the week.  I think I will start on January 3.  Well I thought I would blog about it on this one so that everyone will know of the change to come on my photography blog waitephotography.blogspot.com

So the biggest new years Resolution is to be able to go to the New York Art Institute it is a online school for photography.  I also would like to start being a little more crafty in my life.

Last year my New Years resolution was to be a great mommy and I kept my resolution and I'm still keeping it as my number one priority on all my New Years resolutions.

let us welcome in the New Year 2011!!!
Happy New Year!!!
 P.S.
I believe there are angels all around us and today when we came home from work we saw this:
(I know that our little neighbor kids may have done this but we didn't see them when we went to work so I believe that an angel really was here last night either it be a little kid or a real angel)

Christmas 2010

missing our little Angel but lucky enough we know that she gets to celebrate CHRISTmas with our Savior.  But in memory of her being in our family we still got her an ornament and it has been a comfort seeing her ornament on the tree.

the other great thing about Christmas is seeing how disappointed that Santa didn't come.  Brandon was telling me all month long that he wanted two video games for his PS2 I told him he would have to wait if Santa will come or not.  Brandon first opened all the gifts from me. than he got to see that Santa really did come...

he got the two games he asked for...

What did Santa bring me...

a computer and my new found toy a Nikon D3000 I love it.  I also got some little things that I have been wanting.  What did we do with the rest of the day???

Food, Video Games, Toys, Cards, Family what a great day it was.

Christmas Traditions

What Christmas Traditions do you have as a family???

Our little family of Brandon and I we go look at lights on Christmas Eve to start off the festivities.  We wake up and have our little Christmas.  Black Friday is the day we go and buy our DVD's for the year the best day to get deals.  If you know us you know that we have a BIG BIG DVD collection.  We wrap the DVD's and put them under the tree and wait for Christmas morning to come.  After we get done unwrapping our gifts we get ready for the feast that is about to happen at my parents house.  My dad makes the BEST Christmas morning breakfast.  When I was little we would look forward to this breakfast all year because this is when dad makes his Omelets that are to die for.  My mom would set the table and we would all sit around the table and talk.  The best thing about the omelets were that they were made how we would like them.  When we sat down at the table we would find our new Christmas tree ornament.  So after we go and feast and be with my family.  We go over to Brandon's families home and celebrate with them.  Mostly Brandon, his sister and her husband and his dad play Pinochle while his mom and I talk and play with the little kids.  It is a wonderful day to take naps so once we get home we take a good nap.  After we wake up we will go back up to my parents house to watch the Forgotten Carols.  and of course throughout the day we remember the reason we celebrate this season for the birth of our Savior

Guess what I'm cooking tonight

OREO COOKIE BALLS

Cook time:

Prep time: 1 Hr Serves: 24-36
- 1-18oz. pkg oreo cookies (regular size, 3 rows of
cookies)
- 1-8oz. pkg cream cheese-block
- 4 oz white chocolate almond bark
1.   Add oreos to food processor and blend until fine.
2.   Add cream cheese to oreo crumbs and blend until dough-like.
3.   Chill mixture for 15 minutes then roll into bite-size balls. Chill balls for 15 minutes.
4.   Melt almond bark in microwave according to package directions. Dip chilled oreo balls in melted chocolate using fork so chocolate can "drip off". Set covered cookie balls onto waxed paper and let set aprox. 30 minutes. If using sprinkles or decorative sugars do so before chocolate sets. I usually do a dozen at a time sprinkling after each dozen.

Don't they look yummy. I'm really excited to try them.  So far I have the dough cookie/cream cheese mixture is chilling in the fridge.

also I'm going to make this also...

MONKEY BREAD
Cook time: 25 Min Difficulty: EASY
Prep time: 10 Min Serves: 4
- 2 can(s) pillsbury biscuits
- 1 c sugar
- 1/2 Tbsp cinnamon
- 1/2 stk butter
- 1/2 c brown sugar
1.   Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2.   Cut each biscuit into quarters and shake in a baggy with the cinnamon and sugar mixture.
3.   Once each piece is covered, place into an ungreased bundt pan.
4.   Melt butter and mix with brown sugar.
5.   Pour evenly over bread mixture and cook for 25 minutes or until golden brown. Ready to serve!

I'm just going to add caramel Hershey kisses in some of them as a surprise.

Why am I making all these treats.  We are inviting Becca and Adam over for a little Christmas party we are going to play Bingo and win prizes.  It is a little Christmas party.

Little toes and LIttle fingers

My nephew just came to this world to receive a body...
he was premature by 15 weeks and he was with us for a day.
He stuck in there and fought...
Heavenly Father just needed him back...
I also think Lexy wanted a cousin with her
up in Heaven so that they could play together.
Little Fingers...

Little toes...

He has the Heaps toe that only the girls get but I think it is because he was so special.

and my handsome little nephew will always be with us.  Lexy you take care of him.  Love your Aunt and Uncle we love you.

Prayers are needed

Day 5 of letter challenge

Day 5 — Your dreams

Dear Dreams,

I have just some simple dreams that I hope will happen.  My first dream is to become a photographer and start my own business.  I would love for you to come true I know that I also have to work on it to become true.  I have started working on trying to get there.  I just need to save money for the things which I will need to help this dream come true.  I hope that you will come true sometime soon.  I would love to become a photographer.

My biggest dream is to become a mommy.  I know I have Lexy.  But I want a baby that I can raise here on earth and be a good mommy to my little children.  I know one day it will come true it is just timing and I'm willing to wait to become a mommy again.

So dreams I hope someday and someday soon that the things that I dream might come true.  It would make me one of the happiest people alive.  So for now keep on being my dreams and help me out towards them.
Sincerely,
the DREAM giver

Day 23

Day 23-Something you crave for a lot:
I would have to say my husband... because I love spending time with him he makes me laugh and have a good time and I love him for it.  I love all the adventures we go on it just makes life better.
but besides him I crave...
what can I say I'm a girl I love chocolate.  I love strawberries covered in chocolate.  When I was pregnant I couldn't eat a lot of chocolate it gave me heartburn so I have found again the love of chocolate.  Ask the hubby I crave chocolate most of the time now.

This is amazing...

Day 4 ot the letter challenge

Day 4 — Your sibling (or closest relative):

Dear Laura,

Thank you for being the best big sister I could ever have.  I remember when I was little and you would take me to the mall with your best friend when you didn't even have to.  I remember you always being there for me when I was little.  Thank you for being a great big sister still thank you for just letting me come over and hang with you and your cute family.  Thank you for letting me just cry and get things off my chest.  Thank you for all the soup you make it is yummy.  I love being able to come over on Sundays and enjoy Sunday dinner with you.  Thank you for being my favorite big sister I love you so much. There are no words to describe how much you mean to me.

Love,
Your Little Sister

Day 22

Day 22-What makes you different from everyone else:

good question i could come up with a lot of things that make me different from everyone else.  like i'm an ORIGINAL Jessica Heaps Waite you are never going to find another one just like me.  but everyone knows that we are all unique.  so what makes me different from everyone else.  i have changed a lot lately due to the loss of my daughter and the stress of my landlord saying that i'm not depressed daily which is one big joke (like i have forgotten the loss of my daughter in less time than i had with her oh well this blog is not about this).  i'm different because i still BELIEVE in SANTA yes i just said that.  I believe the story of SANTA because this is what helped me grow to believe that other things exist like faith, charity, and hope.  Of course it has had a great impact on me gaining a testimony of our SAVIOR.  our SAVIOR has given the greatest gift in the world.  He has given us the chance to be with our families for all eternity.  so yes i am 23 going on 24 a week after CHRISTmas and i still BELIEVE.

I BELIEVE IN SANTA CLAUSE, AND FATHER CHRISTMAS!!

Day 1 — Your Best Friend:
 Dear Best Friend,
(this is a hard one i have to many good friends just to pick one and i have always hated picking just one friend to be a best friend.  so i'm going to write a little letter to everyone who has helped me in my life.  i'm also going to write a little letter to Becca, Erica, Erin, Janine)
I want to thank you for all the many memories you have given me.  I want to also thank you for being there when I needed you the most especially these last few months.  I love having you as a friend and I'm glad you decided to be my friend.  I hope that there will be a lot more of memories to come in this life.
Love,
Jessica

Becca,
Thank you for inviting Brandon and I over to your apartment for a game night and thank you for all the other invites to your apartment(s) for more game nights.  You are truly a great friend to me.  I will always help you two move if you will always help us move to different apartments.  You are my fun younger friend that keeps me feeling young.  You are an amazing person and thank you for everything.  When I mean everything I mean these amazing hair cuts and weaves you have given me.  I wish you well in everything you set out to do in your lifetime and know that you can do anything.
Love,
Jessica
P.S.
I will always remember that time going to the mall.  I still think you should get some hot pink glasses.

Erica,
DAUGHTER!!! What can I say more thank you for all the wonderful game nights of phase 10.  Thank you for being one of those friends that I can just go and hangout with like the IKEA day and Photography day (cough DENNY'S cough).  I don't know how to thank you for taking pictures of my baby bump with Lexy these pictures mean the world to me you have no idea.  I'm so glad I have pictures of me being pregnant with her.  You are an amazing person and I might have to ask you if I can be an apprentice (teach me how to take photo's).  Thank You for being my friend.
Love,
Mom
P.S.
I will never forget the HIPPO sorry that I couldn't get it for you.

Erin,
DAUGHTER!!! wow I have a lot of daughters lol.  Thank you for being my Er Head.  You are one amazing woman.  I'm kind of jealous that you got to go on a mission I really wanted to.  I know that you have changed from your mission but you have changed for the better.  Thank you for going to the concert with Brandon and I on Tuesday I know that it was kind of boring but at least you were there to endure it with me.  Thank you for all those nights of hanging out before you left on your mission.  I'm so glad that we are friends.  Also thank you for being the skipped friend of Phase 10 before you left on your mission.  But Scott and I couldn't resist when you and Erica would go make kool aid for us.
Love,
Mom
(I need to get more photo's of us)

Janine,
TWIN SISTER!!! What better way to describe it we have gone through a lot of things together in this little relationship of ours.  Color Guard, Marriages, the ugly D word, and the other ugly D word (death & divorce). I will never forget the high school memories of guard days.  The days we would go shopping in our guard outfits and be mistaken for as twins.  But we do look alike.  I will never forget the death of my dog and how you were with us that night when we took her to the vet.  You are one of my best friends.  I also don't know how to thank you for the photo's you took of my daughter Lexy they also mean the world to me.  I'm so happy that you bought her that rainbow bright outfit because she looked beautiful in it.  Thank you for also standing in the Best Buy line for me also you helped make one of my dreams come true.  I'm so glad that you were there for me also on my wedding day to take photos.  I'm also going to ask the same thing can come I be an apprentice to you so that I can learn how to take photos and how to edit them.  I'm so glad that we became friends in highschool.  You are amazing and I know all your dreams will come true.  Know that I owe you a dream since you were able to help me out with of mine.  I'm going to quote your favorite movie quote and than end the letter you are going to laugh I know you will.
Love,
Your Twin Sister Jessica
